State Approved Parent Taught Driver Education

Are you under 18 years of age and looking to apply for your first driver's license? If so, our Parent Taught Driver Education (PTDE) program might be the right choice for you!

If you are a first-time driver in Texas (under the age of 18), there are 2 phases of licensing that must be met before graduating to a full driver license – Learner License and Provisional License. This is called the Graduated Driver License Program (GDL). The GDL Program is designed to provide new drivers the chance to practice safe driving habits and to help educate about the rules of the road, in low-risk environments.

One of the first requirements of the GDL Program is completion of a state-approved 32-Hour Driver Education Course. This Curb Buster (PT104) Course is fully approved by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) and allows parents and other family members the ability to provide instruction to their teen driver(s).

If Parent Taught Driver Education is the program that best meets your needs, we’re thrilled to help you get there! To being the registration process, click on the Register button below.
